IN-GAME UPDATE: Bears 1 at Penguins 0 – End 1st

The Bears wanted a good start, and got it.  Superb goaltending by Justin Peters, which included a beautiful glove save on a Tom Kostopoulos deflection attempt from the slot; great defensive coverage on two penalty kills; and an awesome, one-handed play by Jakub Vrana to create a two-on-one rush with Ryan Bourque, who drilled a shot past Casey DeSmith for his first Hershey goal.

The team looks like they are playing smart, poised hockey.  Two more periods like this would be awesome.

Also, a special nod to Dustin Gazley.  He has pick-pocketed Penguins players three different times so far.

Second period on deck!
