Hello BEARS fans, and welcome to my new blog that is up just in time for the club’s 75th season opener tonight in Syracuse!!
SINCERE thanks to Hershey Entertainment & Resorts’ top-notch information technology crew who just don’t get in the limelight enough to be recognized. I know I’ll be missing a few of the hard workers we have, and it is not intentional, but special thanks to Sue Kunisky, Doug Rahe, Aaron Kuhn and ALL of those who worked on getting this project up and running so beautifully!

Blogs have been around for a long time, and admittedly I’m new at the whole thing. So I ask for your patience as I continue to navigate a brand-new world.
I do hope that you’ll enjoy the content that will reside right here on HersheyBears.com. Please feel free to post comments and replies, within the bounds of reason and especially respect.
I’ll check in again in a little while with a preview of tonight’s season opener against the Syracuse Crunch. Face-off is set for 7:30 PM and I’m told it will be about 10 minutes later, due to the fact that this is Syracuse’s home opener and pre-game festivities often take up extra time.
We will hit the air with the pre-game show at 6:45 PM, a special 45-minute version to kick off the season. Commentary from our President/GM Doug Yingst, goaltending coach Olie Kolzig, co-coaches Mark French and Adam Oates, and much more await. The BEARS Radio Network includes WQIC-FM 100.1, WTKT-AM 1460, WRBT-FM 94.9 HD-2 and the iHeart Radio application for Apple and Android devices. Click “Multimedia” and “Listen Live” if you plan to be in front of your computer for tonight’s game.
Following that, we hope to be driving back with the first two points of the year!
Here’s to a wonderful, exciting, and memorable 75th season!
