Well how did THAT strike you, fans??
Braden Holtby was tabbed for the start in goal, his first appearance since opening night on October 13… a night, by the way, in which he played very well despite taking the loss to Syracuse.
He comes in and makes point-blank save after point-blank save, fought off traffic to find long-range shots, and made his patented calming glove saves, and frustrated the Albany Devils from puck drop to final horn. He was huge in the crease. He was the man the team rode to victory.
He was back to being Braden Holtby.
The 35-save clean sheet was Holtby’s 11th shutout of his career, and also his 62nd career win in HERSHEY.
Tomas Kundratek added a goal and two assists to factor into all of the HERSHEY scoring, while Zach Hamill’s first goal in a HERSHEY sweater stood up as the game-winner.
See you tomorrow at 5:00 PM fans!
